IEC – Voter Registration Staff 2024: Unemployed individuals are invited to apply for IEC Registration Staff who will be responsible for managing the voter registration process.
The successful individuals will be required to assist eligible citizens register to vote, update their voter information, and ensure the accuracy of voter rolls to uphold the integrity of the electoral system.
During the registration period, the staff will be based at voting stations where they will be executing their duties
The IEC is the Indipendent Electoral Commission Of South Africa and it manages electoral processes.
The Commission’s purpose is to evaluate all electrical and electronics developed. It conducts elections and maintains the overall technology systems manufactured by the organization to ensure its safety and that it is user-friendly
IEC Voter Registration Staff 2024 Minimum Requirements:
- Interested applicants must have passed Grade 12.
- Be a South African citizen with a mobile phone.
- Demonstrate proficiency in operating smartphones
- Ability to help others with technology.
- Lack a prominent party political presence or recent political tenure.
- Able to speak the primary language of the applied area.
Duties and Responsibilities of registration staff:
- Organise, undertake and supervise all elections to Local Government Councils within the state.
- Political parties must have guidelines to stipulating the rule and procedures for electioneering campaigns for Local Government election.
- Conduct civic education and voters
- Promote knowledge of sound democratic election processes.
- State of house must prepare and submit company budgets
- Assisting in the conduct of the poll must assist Orderlies in respect of each polling station and to assign poll Clerks
